Tavern Owners Billiards Association, Lake County IL

Hello everyone!

We are off to the races this week and onto a new season.  Attached are the Wednesday and Thursday schedules along with the handicap list and updated rules for the upcoming season.  All Captains names are listed so if there are multiple teams on a night of play, see captain name to know what team you are on and print that schedule out.  The rules that have changed I have highlighted for you and you will all receive a copy in your folders as well.  Also attached is a list of who owes sponsor fees and these MUST be paid week 1 please.  For the handicap list, you only use this week 1 and it is severely long, I recommend looking for your players and not printing it out.

Some reminders:

*    EVERYONE owes a $3/player card fee week 1.  Even if you have a bar that pays your card fees, I MUST receive them week 1 or your player will be dropped and the points will not count.

*    A courtesy reminder, we have someone that uploads the updated rules, schedules, weekly standings, announcements, etc. onto our website. I have no control over the website so if something is not there, please just let me know and I will reach out to him, thank you.

*    I do appreciate how a lot of you pay in advance, however, please remember to make sure you write YOUR TEAM FEES under your teams names and not on the other side of the sheet.  I just want to make sure that your team fees are being allocated accordingly.  The only thing on the opposing teams side is your signature verifying you both agree to the final scores.

*    After week 1 is completed, I will recheck handicaps and update accordingly, then after that, you are responsible to check your weekly handicaps for the night of play.  Use the number all the way to the right of the sheets for your weekly handicap. After three weeks are played, then I will drop off the last number but a reminder, use the number all the way to the right and you are safe and have the correct one.

*    This is a friendly night out of pool playing, play nice, be patient and courteous to your fellow players.  Especially this upcoming season with all the new rule changes.  If someone needs to reschedule please do your best to work with them to reschedule if the majority of their team is going to be missing.  People do have life issues and circumstances that do come up. I don't believe that anyone in this league tries to do things maliciously and life does happen.

*    Please contact me if you have any questions and you can reach out to your rules committee as well for questions on any new rules.  There numbers are all listed in the rules being handed out in your folders and attached to this email. The Rules committee worked extremely hard and had a long meeting to get all your requests and changes in and went line by line to clean up the rules and make them more clearer for everyone.

Thank you!
